Spent tonight catching up with the premiere of Agents of SHIELD and the second episode of Sleepy Hollow. And the unspoilery thing I have to say is that it's been a while since I've watched pilots that are SO VERY PILOTY.

My new media obsession is The Great British Bake Off. Which I guess I have to thank shrift for pointing out on tumblr, via this gifsetI cannot overstate how much I adore this show. To the point of wanting to hang out with the hosts and the judges, and to just HUG EVERYONE. Including the contestants who I think could use a good kick of self confidence. ( Read more... )

I saw someone else on LJ post about this recently, and it's very true -- the kudos button on AO3 makes it much easier to guess that one of your stories has gotten recced somewhere, but it does nothing to help you figure out where.
